  • theoretical and experimental study on products of adjustable composition and structure at complex processing of hydrobionts;
  • development of technologies on primary processing of raw materials on fishery vessels;
  • development of technologies on complex deep processing of fish and non-fish raw material.

He is an expert in the technology of meat, dairy and fish products, refrigerating production and commercial fishery. He is an author of 313 scientific publications in these directions: articles, theses and conference proceedings. Among them 8 articles are in the journals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science, 93 papers are in the journals included in the List of peer-reviewed publications (State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Russian Federation). He is an author or co-author of 7 monographs, 13 textbooks and manuals, 53 patents. 15 Ph.D. theses were successfully defended under his leading. In different years he was the chairman or a member of different Dissertation Councils. At present he guides research study of post-graduates. He has an extensive editorial experience (editing of 8 collections of research papers). He took part in the organization and work of 13 international conferences workshops and symposiums. The scientific school of pilot studies under the leadership of V.D. Bogdanov has developed theoretical bases of production and products of adjustable composition and structure at complex processing of hydrobionts.
