  • usage of elastic and electromagnetic waves in shipbuilding, earthquake and tsunami forecast;
  • underwater communication;
  • sonic devices, hydroacoustic research.

He is an expert in device development and application, measurement methods, information-measuring, control systems and commercial fishery. He is an author of more than 140 works including 3 monographs, 2 collective monographs, 2 text-books, 13 training manuals and 12 international papers in international publications indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. He took out 17 patents. He is a member of 2 Dissertation Councils on doctoral thesis and Ph.D. thesis presentation. 3 Ph.D. theses were successfully defended under his leading. At present he guides research study of post-graduates. He has a long editorial experience. He made a big contribution in design and creation of experimental products of deep-sea underwater devices up to 6000 meters and systems of underwater communication. During 2010-2014 he took an active part in international underwater communication experiments in industrial enterprises of China. He got an international grant of Russian Fund of Fundamental Research with Harbin Engineering University. From 2010 to 2016 he worked as a visiting professor in Harbin Engineering University.
